This is some crazy bee sting. This pic was taken yesterday. Today the redness has creeped a little more down my arm. And where it's red, it's hot. Thankfully it only itches a little.

Lovely...

We took a ride along Burnt Mountain today. First bug makes a cracking sound into the windshield and leaves a big glob. The second bug smacks into my kneecap, but felt like a chunk of concrete hit it. This was the result of the third bug. This got caught up my T shirt sleeve. I think I would have preferred the bugs in my teeth.
I Googled home remedies for stings. Toothpaste. Who knew? Of course it was about 45 minutes after I got stung that I could do anything about it.
I look like I'm the host to some alien creature. Wait. Did you say something? Do you hear.......voices? I think....yes, yes....I hear them. It sounds like...kill.....kill....kill them all............

Christian - The Lion
You probably have seen this already, but the information Snoppes gives on this is amazing. I could watch this over and over...
Here's another video of this that I just came across

You can check out their story on Wikipedia too. Amazing!

4-Wheeling in the Mountains in Alaska

I came across this pic while looking for something completely different. I was visiting my son who was stationed in Anchorage back in '05. We just finished 4-wheeling in the mountains. I remember our guide carrying a loaded rifle to shoot any bears we might stumble upon. Or should I say, any bears who might eat us. We actually did come across some fresh bear tracks that crossed over the riding path.
If you look at the amount of mud on our jeans you can tell the different degrees of riding fun. Good times.

It's a gas gas gas
I'm on my way home from work today and Steve calls. Seems when he got home he smelled gas and found one of the knobs from our gas stove turned fully on. Okay. I rarely cook. And lately -- I don't cook food at all. I've been juicing and eating in the raw. Well. Eating raw foods. Heh.
Aannywaay... Our stove knobs have to be pushed in before you can turn them on. I couldn't have bumped into the stove and accidently turned the gas on because a) I wasn't near the stove this morning, and b) I'd have to be doing the crazy dance to push in the knob and then turn it to the left -- all the way on. Don't remember doing that... Steve swears he didn't touch the stove.
The person I talked to at the gas company thought if the gas was on all our cats would be sick. Hm...
Hey! The cats!

I was wondering why I had to jump through hoops to get these pics of my son's kittens back to him to so he could post 'somewhere.' Heh. Now I get it. Turned out purrfect. [Sorry.]

Healthy Quotes
"Over fertilized plants may be beautiful but are otherwise useless, like people whose energies are devoted so completely to their appearance that there is no other development."–William Longgood
"High nitrogen levels make plants grow fast and bulk up with carbohydrates and water. While the fruits these plants produce may be big, they suffer in nutritional quality, whereas organic production systems [which use slow-release forms of nitrogen] produce foods that usually yield denser concentrations of nutrients and deliver consumers a better nutritional bargain per calorie consumed."Agriculture expert Charles Benbrook, Ph.D. explains why conventional produce has lower nutrient values than organic produce.
"A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself"– Franklin D. Roosevelt

Ok. Dig it. I used to have a bunch of my favorite sayings/quotes on my Palm but lost them all when I forgot about them and erased everything before I ebayed it. Durn. Course now I can't remember them.
I was in this parking lot today and saw one of my favorite ones on some car's bumper sticker.
"Be careful not to mettle in the affairs of dragons because you are crunchy and taste good with catsup."
Oh yeah! THAT'S a keeper!
Anyone read Robert Jordan's books? There's something about when you take a walk to the hang man's noose......something something......that's neato too. /sigh
